June 29 2009 - Merlin Nation Weekend Update
Merlin Nation has good results at both the MWSS race at Road America and the CKI race at New Jersey.

At the MWSS, Merlin Nations was able to grab 8 wins.
Saturday Wins:
Cadet Sportsman - Joel Jens
HPV Jr Heavy - Nick Stagl
Yamaha Jr. Lite - Jordan Laukaitis
Yamaha Sportsman - Kyle Kalish
Yamaha SuperCan - Jason Foley
Sunday Wins:
Yamaha Jr. Heavy - Shiyna Michimi
Leopard Sr. - Jamie Sieracki
HPV Sportsman - Kyle Kalish

Although Merlin Nation didn't grab any victories at the CKI race in New Jersey. Shawn Sharkey was able to grab a podium in KF3, with a 3rd place finish. Austin Schoonmaker was also able to grab a podium in Cadet, with a 3rd place finish.

Merlin Nation now gears up for the WKA Nationals at Road America in two weeks.

June 04 2009 - Road America Testing Opportunity
For those Merlin drivers who would like a little testing time before the WKA event at Road America, mark your calendar for July 1st & 2nd. The sprint track facility is secured for a private test on both days. Special thanks to Jim Sharkey of SCS Racing for organizing the test and working with the Road America staff. We will be capping participation to keep track time to an optimum so please e-mail info@merlinusa.com to secure your spot by June 19. July 1st and 2nd follow the Midwest Sprint Series so track conditions should be favorable with a suitable level of grip down. Cost will depend on the amount of participants. The cap will be set around 30 keeping the cost around $100.00 per driver per day.

May 31 2009 - Merlin Wins 2 Classes at the inaugural CKI event.
Congratulations to Shawn Sharkey and Austin Schoonmaker on the wins today at New Castle, In. Austin won the Cadet final with a last lap, last turn pass on the outside to win by 0.007 seconds. Shawn won the IAME Jr. final by over 4.5 seconds, after breaking away from the field wiht another driver, who dropped out just past halfway.

Congratulations to Trent Hindman, after a poor qualifying, he fought his way up start the Pre-Final 4th and finished 2nd in the IAME Jr. Pre-Final. A engine problem in the Final put an end to his weekend, but it was still a great weekend for the young driver. Shawn Sharkey also finished 6th in the KF3 Final after started 11th after a engine problem earlier in the weekend.
