June 10 2008 - Trent Hindman - Mazda Race of the Americas Report H&S Motorsports/ Mike Doty Racing/Merlin USA driver Trent Hindman was looking forward to the Snap-on Stars of Karting presented by Indy Car Race of Americas at New Castle, Indiana, coming off a sweep of wins at the STARS west race at Utah and also doing very well at the STARS eastern opener at Ocala with a first and second place finish. Going into the Race of Americas, Hindman sat up top the east and west Stars of Karting Cadet point’s championship with a comfortable margin. The New Castle event would look just like the Utah race in which Trent drove his Woltjer powered Merlin kart to the front of both features to clean up the cadet class with two feature wins! With winning five of six STARS cadet races, Trent “Hitman” Hindman is dominating the cadet field. The talented driver hails from Wayside, New Jersey. “Trent is having a great year and is getting better at each race that we attend. The whole package is falling into place, the Merlin kart is easy to tune and the Woltjer engines run like champs.
